Exchange Mechanism

 

The 1-for-1 card replacement exercise for all adult ez-link cards to be exchanged to the new CEPAS ez-link cards at the following channels:

  1. Selected Bus Interchanges
    1. Ang Mo Kio, Boon Lay, Clementi, Tampines (11am to 9 pm)
    2. Serangoon, Yishun (10am to 8pm)
    3. Woodlands, Bukit Batok, Hougang, Jurong East (11am to 9pm)
    4. Choa Chu Kang, Eunos, Pasir Ris (12pm to 8pm)

Important Points to Note

  • There is no urgency to exchange your cards as your current ez-link card remains valid till 30th September 2009
  • Each person may exchange up to 3 adult ez-link cards at a time to reduce waiting time
  • This replacement exercise applies to both valid and expired adult ez-link cards and customised print cards
  • The remaining value on your current adult ez-link card will be transferred to your new ez-link card
  • If your current ez-link card has less than -$3.00 value, please top-up the card before you replace it.
  • Your current adult ez-link card will be retained upon refund.
  • All cardholders have up to 12 years from the date the card is encoded to obtain a refund

Replacement for Cards on Auto Credit Card Top-up and Bank Giro

  • Special arrangements have been made for users of Auto Credit Card Top-up and Bank Giro facilities.
  • Respective scheme owners would have adviced customers via mail by 28 February 2009. Should you not have received any information, please call the respective scheme owner for details.
    Other Cards
    • Holders of co-brand credit / debit card wil an ez-link purse, can continue to use the ez-link purse till 30th September 2009. Thereafter, the credit/debit card function remains valid until the credit/debit card expires.
    • Refund of the ez0link purse on co-brand cards:
       

      • OCBC NTUC Plus co-brand and UOB NOW cardholders can obtain a refund of their ez-link purse at any TransitLink Ticket Office
      • Citi SMRT co-brand cardholders can obtain their refund from any SMRT Passenger Service Centre.

    • All co-brand cards will be destroyed and retained upon refund. Please contact your bank for a replacement credit / debit card prior to the refund of the ez-link purse.
    • Concession cardholders will be contacted directly by TransitLink on the replacement procedures of their cards.
    • Part & Ride cardholders may exchange their cards for the new CEPAS-compliant Park & Ride cards from July 2009
