Exchange Mechanism
Important Points to Note
- The old ez-link cards will cease to operate on 1st October 2009.
- Each person may exchange up to 3 adult ez-link cards at a time to reduce waiting time.
- This replacement exercise applies to both valid and expired adult ez-link cards and customised print cards.
- The remaining value on your current adult ez-link card will be transferred to your new ez-link card.
- If your current ez-link card has less than -$3.00 value, please top-up the card before you replace it.
- Your current adult ez-link card will be retained upon refund.
- All cardholders have up to 12 years from the date the card is encoded to obtain a refund.

Replacement for Cards on Auto Credit Card Top-up and Bank Giro
- Please note that Auto Top-up services are hence of known as EZ-Reload.
- There are 2 options: EZ-Reload by Credit Card (formerly known as Auto Credit Card Top-up) and EZ-Reload by GIRO (formerly known as Bank GIRO).
- EZ-Link has contacted the previous Auto Credit Card Top-up cardholders to inform them that the online application for the new EZ-Reload Service has been available since 16 April 2009. If you are still holding on to the old ez-link card, which is still linked to the Auto Credit Card facility, please proceed to exchange your card immediately and reapply online. Note: Online application will take 5 days to process.
- Bank GIRO customers are advised to change their cards as soon as possible. The application form for the new EZ-Reload by GIRO can be downloaded from 27th August 2009. Please fill it up and mail it to the address indicated on the form or drop it off at any TransitLink Ticket Office.
- Respective scheme owners would have advised customers via mail by 28 February 2009. Should you not have received any information, please call the respective scheme owner for details.
