Keep your ez-link card clean and dry.

   

Use more than one ez-link card at the same time.

Expose your ez-link card to direct heat or sunlight for prolonged periods.

Paste stickers or photographs on your ez-link card.

Bend, Scratch or punch holes in your ez-link card

Using the ez-link card on MRT or LRT

DO   DON'T

Tap your ez-link card on the card reader mounted on the MRT/ LRT faregates and proceed through the faregate when the green light comes on.

 

Tap your ez-link card on the card reader more than once.

Bang on the card reader.

Using the ez-link card on buses

DO   DON'T

Tap your ez-link card on the card readers mounted at the entrance and exit when you board and alight from the bus.

Place your ez-link card within the contact area until the green light comes on.

Keep clear of the card readers when you do not intend to carry out a transaction.

Move to the exit in advance so that you can tap your ez-link card on the exit card reader conveniently when you alight.

Tap your ez-link card flatly on the card reader until a 'beep' sound is heard. Do not wave the ez-link card in front of card reader.

Try tapping your ez-link card again on the card reader or alternative card readers if you encounter an error message.

 

Insert your ez-link card into the validator meant for printing cash receipts.

Lean or rest on the card reader.

Hit or push the card reader.

Flash your ez-link card repeatedly at the card reader.

Tap your ez-link card before the exit doors open for you to alight. The transfer rebate time of 45 minutes will start from the time you tap your ez-link card on the exit card reader. This is also applicable for feeder services.

Check the transaction value before tapping your card for payment.

Lean or rest on the card reader.

Hit or push the card reader.

Flash your ez-link card repeatedly at the card reader.
