Go Cashless this ZoukOut

THE CASHLESS PAYMENT

OCT 16 2015: You don’t need cash for this festival. All you need is just one card to make your purchases. This will be one of the many firsts for the 15th edition of ZoukOut. Yes, ZoukOut 2015 will be going 100% cashless for its drink and merchandise purchases, using only credit cards and ez-link cards.

Following the successful collaboration with EZ-Link for ZoukOut 2013, when the ez-link card was first offered as an alternative option to cash and credit cards, the former proved to be a popular choice among festival-goers. This payment method will free festival attendees from the hassle of carrying cash to the event while reducing administrative efforts and risks of cash handling for the organiser, facilitating faster transactions and shorter queues.

The collaboration between ZoukOut and EZ-Link is set to elevate the festival experience for partygoers, where they can purchase drink coupons via their ez-link cards. This is also a milestone in the era of cashless payment in Singapore, and the first for a large-scale outdoor music festival and possibly, in the region.

Mr Nicholas Lee, CEO of EZ-Link, says: “We are excited about our collaboration with Zouk as it shows that possibilities are endless with the ez-link card.  Beyond public transport, EZ-Link is progressively expanding our offerings in the lifestyle segment.”

“Our focus is on bringing the convenience and fun of contactless payments into every aspect of our customers’ lives, from commuting and driving to shopping, dining and now even partying. We look forward to enhancing the ZoukOut experience for all partygoers with the ez-link card.”

Cash and other CEPAS [Contactless e-Purse Application] products, such as concessions and Nets FlashPay, will not be accepted at ZoukOut 2015.

CONVENIENCE

The minimal top-up sum is $10.
