EZ-Link Wallet
(1) ABOUT THE EZ-LINK WALLET
The EZ-Link Wallet is a personal mobile wallet within the EZ-Link App that allows you to conveniently make payments at retail outlets in Singapore by scanning a SGQR Code or overseas at Alipay+ merchants.
You will need to download the latest version of the EZ-Link App. Upon logging into the app, select ‘EZ-Link Wallet’ on the ‘Discover’ tab. Read and agree to the terms and conditions before proceeding to subscribe.
If you already have the EZ-Link App in your mobile device, please ensure that it is updated to the latest version.
(2) PAYING WITH THE EZ-LINK WALLET
You can use the EZ-Link Wallet at numerous merchants across Singapore. View here for the full list of merchants that accept the EZ-Link Wallet as a form of payment.
Yes, you can use your EZ-Link Wallet outside of Singapore to make payments at Alipay+ acceptance points.
Yes, you can add or save more than one bank card for topping up your EZ-Link Wallet within your EZ-Link App.
For local usage, please look out for merchants displaying the SGQR sticker/standee with the EZ-Link App.
For overseas spending, you can look out for the following EZ-Link decal at Alipay Connect accepted merchants.
When making a purchase at a local merchant that accepts the EZ-Link Wallet via Scan & Pay:
- Launch the EZ-Link App and activate ‘QR Code scanner’ under EZ-Link Wallet. (Ensure that camera function is enabled for EZ-Link App)
- Scan the SGQR Code displayed at the merchant’s outlet.
- Enter the value of your purchase and authorise the payment with payment pin, fingerprint or face ID.
- Wait for the ‘Payment Successful’ screen to appear to ensure that payment is successful.
When making a purchase at an overseas Alipay Connect merchant that accepts the EZ-Link Wallet via QR/Bar code:
- Look out for the Alipay Connect acceptance logo and scanner during checkout.
- Launch the EZ-Link App and activate ‘QR Code’ under EZ-Link Wallet.
(Ensure that your geo-location is enabled for EZ-Link App and location is correct) - Present the generated QR/Bar Code to the merchant.
- Authorise the payment with payment pin, fingerprint or face ID after the merchant has scanned the QR/Bar code.
- Wait for the ‘Payment Successful’ screen to appear to ensure that payment is successful.
The EZ-Link Wallet implements security practices and policies adopted by the payment card industry to ensure prevention of theft of credit/debit card information. Furthermore, your authorization is always required before any payment is confirmed.
No, there are no additional fees involved. You will only be charged for your purchase.
Foreign currency exchange rates are provided by Alipay Connect & EZ-Link Pte Ltd. There are no admin fees or currency conversion processing fees involved. The amount will be converted to Singapore Dollars and deducted from the Wallet.
In the event that you have overpaid for your purchase, please inform the merchant immediately. The merchant will have to cancel the transaction so that your money will be transferred back into your EZ-Link Wallet.
Please note that this is only applicable to same day transactions. Any transactions perform after 23:59 hours cannot be cancelled. You will have to resolve the matter directly with merchant.
Please check and ensure that you have sufficient balance in your EZ-Link Wallet and a stable data connectivity to complete your purchase.
No, there is no limit to the number of transactions that you can make, as long as there is sufficient balance in your EZ-Link Wallet.
(3) TOPPING UP THE EZ-LINK WALLET
Select the top-up function in your EZ-Link Wallet and enter your preferred top-up amount. Choose your preferred bank card to be used as the source of fund for this top-up or add your bank card if you have not done so before. Tap on the “Confirm” button to proceed with topping up of the EZ-Link Wallet. The minimum top-up amount is S$10.
Yes, top-ups for the EZ-Link Wallet are instantaneous. The new balance of your EZ-Link Wallet will be reflected immediately upon each successful top-up.
The default card that you have selected would be used for the top-up of your EZ-Link Wallet. If you wish to switch to another card, you can do so during the top-up process within the EZ-Link App
The basic EZ-Link Wallet can hold up to SGD$500. Upon activation of Pay by Wallet, the maximum Wallet balance increases to $5,000.
(4) REFUNDS
The balance amount in your EZ-Link Wallet can be refunded upon request.
To initiate a refund, please call EZ-Link customer service hotline at +65 6496 8300 with information of your EZ-Link account for our customer service to process your application.
Upon successful refund, your EZ-Link Wallet will be deactivated.
(5) MANAGING THE EZ-LINK WALLET
No, this function is currently not available.
Yes, this function is now available for Adult EZ-Link cards on both Android and iOS (version 13 and above) devices.
Step 1. Simply choose your EZ-Link Wallet as the preferred source of fund
Step 2. Choose your preferred top up amount
Step 3. Tap and hold your EZ-Link card at the back of your phone to sync
Step 4. Both your Wallet and EZ-Link card transaction histories will reflect the successful top up
Yes, the EZ-Link wallet has a validity of five years.
Yes, purchases made both locally and overseas with the EZ-Link Wallet are eligible for EZ-Link Rewards. However, cancelled or refunded transactions are not eligible for EZ-Link Rewards points.
Please note that you need to have an EZ-Link Wallet account before redemption of the Wallet credits. If you already have an activated EZ-Link Wallet, skip to step 4:
1. Launch your EZ-Link app and tap on the EZ-Link Wallet banner
2. Set up a 6-digit payment pin
3. Congrats! You now own an EZ-Link Wallet
4. Click on the Discover tab and ynder the Header “Promotion and Partnership Programmes”, click on the link “Have a redemption code? Enter it here!”
5. Key in the redemption code provided above and click on confirm.
6. Upon successful redemption, a pop-up stating the amount that have been credited to your wallet will appear on the screen.
