Transitlink starts card replacement offices at Yishun and Choa Chu Kang Bus interchange

Issued By: Transit Link Pte Ltd

Concession card holders such as school students, senior citizens and National Servicemen will be pleased to know that since 13 April 2003, two new Card Replacement Offices (CRO), one in Yishun Bus Interchange and the other in Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange, have been providing immediate concession card replacement services in addition to the Customer Service Centre (CSC) located at Buona Vista MRT Station.

Concession cardholders can now visit the CROs to replace their lost/damaged/faulty concession cards and receive their cards on-the-spot. The CRO is opened daily from 9am to 5pm (including public holidays). A third CRO for the eastern part of Singapore is expected to be operational by June 2003.

This endeavor is undertaken by a joint partnership with EZ-Link. Both parties are equally committed to continually reviewing and improving its customer service standards. Working together, both TransitLink and EZ-Link have mapped out several other options concession cardholders could get their lost, damaged or faulty concession cards replaced. Like the recently implemented card replacement service through the mail whereby concession cardholders mail-in their details and have the option of either receiving their replacement cards via mail or going down personally to selected MRT stations and bus interchanges to collect their cards.

This new mail application service and the additional CROs along with several future projects are planned to bring even greater convenience to cardholders.

In order to implement the mail application service, TransitLink has also revised its administrative fee to $10 flat regardless of the number of previous applications. In the past, replacement applicants had to pay an administrative fee of $10 for the first replacement, $20 for the second replacement and $30 for the third and fourth replacement, in addition to Card Cost and Personalisation Fee.

Application forms are available from any TransitLink Ticket Office and can also be downloaded from TransitLink’s website at www.transitlink.com.sg. Applicants are required to send the completed application form, a recent colour passport-sized photograph, a copy of the applicant’s identification document and cheque payment for the replacement charges to:

Transit Link Pte Ltd
North Buona Vista Road #02-01

The printed card will be mailed to the applicant in 3 working days from the day TransitLink receives the application. For those who choose to collect the cards from one of the following Ticket Offices, a collection advice will be mailed out in 3 working days.
