EZ-Link rewards more expiring card users with ‘Travel with your Justice League Super Hero’ campaign

Holders of ez-link cards expiring before 31 December 2015 can get their hands on the exclusive special Justice League collection at a subsidised cost of S$3 per card.

SINGAPORE, 1 April 2015 – EZ-Link Pte Ltd, Singapore’s largest issuer of CEPAS-compliant cards, today announced the launch of the ‘Travel with your Justice League Super Hero’ campaign to make available exclusive ez-link cards featuring popular fictional characters at subsidised rates to holders of Adult Anonymous ez-link cards expiring before 31 December 2015.

With the completion of the ‘Journey with EZ-Link’ campaign on 31 March 2015 focusing on giveaways of free ez-link cards to replace those expiring by then, the new ‘Travel with your Justice League Super Hero’ campaign represents EZ-Link’s continued efforts to thank customers for their support by adding a dash of superhero fun at a privileged rate to their journeys.

Eligible cardholders can go to any TransitLink Ticket Offices from 1 April 2015 onwards to get any of the 10 special Justice League ez-link cards at a subsidised rate of S$3, while stocks last. The transaction will see direct deduction of S$3 from the expiring cards, with remaining monies transferred to the new cards, which do not carry any stored value. If the expiring cards do not carry sufficient value, cardholders are required to top them up before purchasing the superhero cards. If their ez-link cards have already expired, cardholders may use other valid ez-link cards for the purchase.

Developed under licence from Warner Bros Consumer Products and DC Entertainment, the special Justice League thematic card series features the most loved superheroes including Catwoman, Batgirl, Batman, Green Lantern, Robin, Superman, Supergirl, The Flash, The Joker and  Wonder Woman. Previously only available to holders of cards expiring before 31 March 2015, these cards will now also be available to more holders of ez-link cards, due to popular demand.

About EZ-Link Pte Ltd

EZ-Link Pte Ltd was formed on 8 January 2002. Its core business is the clearing and settlement of all ez-link card transactions generated in transit and non-transit (retail/merchant) environments, as well as the sale, distribution and overall management of ez-link cards. To date, more than 17 million new CEPAS-compliant ez-link cards have been issued. This is in tandem with the government’s plan to promote cashless payments in Singapore. In line with this vision, the new ez-link card is now also accepted as a mode of payment for Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) and at carparks fitted with the Electronic Payment System (EPS) when used in the dual-mode in-vehicle unit. In 2013, EZ-Link launched the “My EZ-Link Mobile” application, the world’s first Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile application for contactless card top-ups.
