Get an ez-link card for $12 instead of $15 at any TransitLink Office

EZ-Link aligns purchase price of ez-link cards to other CEPAS cards.
Issued By: EZ-Link Pte Ltd

SINGAPORE, 27 July 2010 – EZ-Link Pte Ltd today announces that ez-link cards are now available for purchase at $12 at all TransitLink Ticket Offices and Passenger Service Centres within MRT stations. Previously sold at $15 covering $5 card cost and $10 initial stored value, the cards are now on sale with the same card cost but a reduced initial stored value of $7, in alignment with the cost of CEPAS cards sold at these points.

“A reduced initial stored value makes the ez-link card as affordable as other CEPAS cards in the market. By lowering the barrier for consumers to purchase ez-link cards, EZ-Link is allowing them greater access to the benefits and convenience the card brings including the expanding usage points beyond transit to retail, ERP and others,” says Mr. Nicholas Lee, Executive Director, EZ-Link Pte Ltd.

Once a customer buys an ez-link card, he or she can easily top-up the card at an extensive network of locations across the island including MRT stations, DBS/POSB ATMs, AXS Stations, 7-Eleven outlets except 7-Eleven@Shell and Community Clubs. Additionally, consumers can opt for the EZ-Reload service which enables the ez-link card to be automatically topped up if there is insufficient fund.

Catering to the convenience of consumers, ez-link cards have started to be on sale at more than 500 7-Eleven stores at $10 each, covering $5 card cost and $5 stored value since 10 June 2010.
