EZ-Link adds SingPost outlets as new sales points

Consumers can now purchase and top up ez-link cards at all SingPost outlets

SINGAPORE, 25 January 2011 – EZ-Link Pte Ltd announced today the addition of SingPost outlets to their current network of ez-link card sales channels and top-up points. Effective from 28 January 2011 onwards, consumers will be able to purchase and top-up ez-link cards at all 62 SingPost outlets island-wide.

This expansion in sales channels and top-up points gives consumers more convenience, as they will now have many more accessible outlets where they can purchase the cards from and top up their ez-link cards. Currently, the cards can already be purchased at all TransitLink Ticket Offices, Passenger Service Counters at MRT Stations and at 7-Eleven Convenince Stores. With the addition of SingPost outlets, the number of sales points of ez-link cards will increase to over 800.

We are happy to partner with EZ-Link to extend their acceptance points to 62 post offices, thereby enabling our customers to conveniently buy or top-up ez-link cards or even make micropayment for postal and non-postal products and services.”

“Homecoming” Limited Edition ez-link cards

To help us commemorate the sales of ez-link cards at SingPost, EZ-Link is introducing a set of four “Homecoming” Limited Edition ez-link cards in collaboration with Golden Village and in support of the local movie industry. EZ-Link decided to select “Homecoming” – a film made by local producers J-Team scheduled for release during the Chinese New Year period – to feature on its cards as the movie reiterates the meaning of returning home, from wherever you are, for a reunion during the traditional Lunar New Year.

“We are also very excited to launch the “Homecoming” Limited Edition ez-link cards, and hope that just like the theme of the movie, card holders will experience the joy of travelling home with their ez-link cards during this festive period with ease to attend reunion dinners and gatherings with their loved ones,” added Mr. Lee.

With effect from 28 January 2011, normal ez-link cards will be sold at SingPost outlets at $5 each with zero stored value. Top-up services are available in multiples of $10. Each top-up is subjected to a convenience fee of $0.30 Also with effect from the same date, the “Homecoming” Limited Edition ez-link cards will be available for purchase at all SingPost outlets at the price of S$28 per set with no stored value, consisting of four different designs.

These collectible sets can also be purchased at the “Homecoming” meet-and-greet road shows, where the movie’s actors will autograph on the themed ez-link cards. A total of 5 road shows will be held on 30 January 2011 at the following locations:

  • Hougang Mall (12pm)
  • Jurong Point (2pm)
  • Downtown East (3.30pm)
  • AMK Hub (5pm)
  • Tiong Bahru Plaza (7pm)
